My First Set Of Eyelash Extensions (review)

So as I am going on holiday on Friday I thought I'd treat myself to my first ever set of eyelash extensions. I'd been wanting to get eyelash extensions for ages, the idea of waking up with perfect long full eyelashes and not having to bother applying falsies (although for me that is a very easy process now) seemed very appealing. Normally when it comes to the more expensive beauty treatments I take a lot of time researching, I took about 3 months researching about box braids, where to get them and how to look after them. However they lasted for 3 months whereas my eyelash extensions will last for about 2 weeks due to the nature of eyelashes naturally falling off (so they aren't as much of a commitment). I decided on the Monday this week I wanted to get eyelash extensions before my holiday on Friday (tomorrow!). I did a little bit of research online by simply typing in 'best places to get eyelash extensions in Brighton'. The best looking one I found was offering a full set for £65. This to me was a lot of money so I decided I'd go into my local town in the hopes of finding a good beautician who could offer me slightly better prices.
I went into a shop in my town called laser4you, it has a lovely layout and you can just tell its very professional. There were even certificates in beauty treatments hung up on the wall and the place smelled lovely thanks to the bath bombs they were selling inside. The lady at the desk told me a full set of eyelash extensions was I believe £50 however the half set, which means an extra eyelash wouldn't be added to every single one of your natural eyelashes, was £40. I decided to go with the half set as I was told it would look more natural which was exactly what i wanted. My beautician was perfect at understanding the exact look I wanted (I said how Ariana Grande has her eyelashes).
To make sure you're not going to get a bad eyelash extensions experience its important to have good communication with your beautician. You could even bring in photos of the look you wanted to help. Your bottom eyelashes should also be placed down with an under eye pad, this stops them interfering with the top eyelashes and you should be explained (or given an information sheet) on how to properly look after them. For 24 hours after they are applied water should not touch the area and any excessive rubbing will cause the glue to loosen and the eyelashes to fall off. Also during the treatment don't open your eyes! I accidentally did this at one point and as many falsie lovers with know getting eyelash glue in your eye is not fun, and this was 10 times worse!
Overall I am really happy with the results and also extremely happy about not having to worry about bringing falsies with me on holiday. Okay, maybe just one pair.
