Crazy eyebrow trends have been showing up ALL over the catwalk this season. From crazy, in your face, glitter brows to bleached, cant even see them, brows the catwalk certainly is a good place to get not only your fashion inspiration but also makeup inspiration. There are 4 main eyebrow trends that have been hitting the catwalk recently. Some being repeats of trends that had already been started.

Glitter brows

Early spring this year an eyebrow trend started popping up all over instagram and YouTube. At the time I wasn't into instagram very much and instead found out about the trend through buzzfed. As many of you hopefully know buzzfed is a YouTube channel that separates into many different channels named buzzfed yellow ect depending on what videos they have on that channel. On this particular channel it had a video on glitter eyebrows. In the lady like video the 4 girls tried out glitter eyebrows by first applying eyelash glue to there eyebrows, I can already see this going terribly wrong, and applying glitter. Then the carried on there day as usual. They appeared to be surprised with how much they liked the look but still thought of it more as a going out nighttime look. I think if you have the confidence, wear it whenever you like! When it came to taking off the glitter the problem began...for more on this video click on the picture below👇

Gigi Hadid, as many of you I'm sure are aware, is a famous supermodel. Early this year for the Giambattista Valli Fashion Show as part of the Paris fashion week Womenswold fall/winter 2016/2017 the model wore glitter eyebrows as she hit the runway. She pulled them off beautifully and what was then different from how the trend is now is that the glitter seemed to lay just under the eyebrow. Almost like a highlight to draw the eye to the eyebrow.

I myself also tried out the glitter brow. I did not use eyelash glue, especially after watching the buzzfed video! Instead I used vaseline. If you apply a small coat then the glitter shall stick and removing the glitter then becomes an easy process!

You dont have to have matching coloured eyebrows and hair to pull off these looks. Here I have metallic coloured blue brows with glitter on the tips AND graphic liner.

Bleached brows

Kendal Jenner sported this look as she modeled for Marc Jacobs in New York late last year. She however said that she would never bleach her brows again as they soon began fallen off, yikes! You don't need to bleach your brows to achieve this look. Many drag stars have been cover there brows for years without the need to bleach. You can look up on YouTube how tos on covering your brows or you can simply get a concealer or foundation that is your skin tone shade and apply to that over your brows.

Graphic liner

Graphic liner can change the shape of your brows just by the shape you create below them. One of my favourite graphic liner looks from the catwalk has to be from Gareth Pugh. He created fantastic looks on pairs of nude tights which the models then placed over there heads-check out the photos below👇Halloween ideas anyone? Credits to www.instyle.co.uk for the photos.

Michael Kors, spring/summer 2013, shows how graphic liner can be used in the most simplistic way but still give an interesting touch of colour to highlight the shape of the brow.

Graphic liner seems to be where cut crease looks began from. I love cut crease looks and graphic liner they give your looks a futuristic feel.

Coloured highlight around brow

I wasn't quite sure what to call this look. When you see you'll understand why. It's a look where colour is added to the edge of the brow bone sometimes extending back down to where blush is usually applied and sometimes going as high as the top of the forehead. I therefore couldn't find it on the catwalk as I couldn't search it up however I found this from the 2014 NAHA finalist: Brad Van Dyke.

Everything about this look is perfect from the colour of the hair, the style of the hair to the bold choice of colour for the makeup.

Vogue also shot this look for one of there covers featuring Dree Hemingway who rocked a purple version of the look (Makeup by Eugene Souleiman and photographed by Nathaniel Goldberg). What is most exciting about this look is the different shades of colour from a very subtle violet to a strong dark purple topped with a strong highlight right at the top of the cheek bone and again at the top of the brow bone.

To pull off this look you have to wear it with sheer confidence. To achieve this look grab your favourite blush, or if you are feeling more daring a bold eyeshadow colour and apply it to the highest point of your cheekbone. Then in a window wiping motion move it above the brow bone. To add even more spark you could apply two different shades, or even two different colours, one above the brow bone and one at the highest point of the cheek bone. Also don't forget about highlight!

I hope you enjoyed these looks and it gave you some makeup inspiration. It definitely did for me! Are you going to go out and try any of these looks now?

Dare to be different.
