Beauty on a budget-Waxing

When I first swapped from shaving to waxing I had it professionally done at my local beauticians. I slowly realized this was a cost in which I could easily cut if I just simply starting waxing at home myself. I started with a roll on waxing kit which cost £9.99 (when not on sale).

This is perfect for beginners as it skips the mess of waxing as you just roll the wax onto the skin. There is however an even easier way, waxing strips. When I first used a waxing strip I struggled to heat it up properly and ended up going back to the roll on kit as I found it initially easier. However on holiday my friend had waxing strips which she let me use and she gave me a really good tip on how to heat them up super quick. All you have to do is turn on your straighteners, put it to the lowest heat and really quickly clamp over the strip and instantly it heats it up.

The waxing strips also come with post and pre waxing wipes.

Don't do this if you have GHD's as you cant adjust the temperature so they are too hot! I tried with my GHD's and nearly burnt the strip...so instead I used my old Remington straighteners at 150 degrees and that worked perfectly. As for the brand of waxing strips I use superdrugs pro body waxing strips which were £6 for 2! I used to pay £18 for one waxing session and 2 boxes will last for 8 weeks. That's a saving of £15 a month. Sounds good to me.
